One of the most important aspects of weight training is correct breathing. In order to get the most out of you work out you must use a proper breathing technique.

It is most favorable to use a breathing pattern of one breath per repetition. You would want to inhale in the relax movement of the exercise and exhale in the force movement of the exercise .In order to provide sufficient oxygen for the muscle to execute a perfect contraction. You also get a very functional response from the brain and the heart. With oxygen the brain provides strong neural impulses to the working area and without oxygen the heart works harder and cannot function at maximum capacity.

Correct breathing also reduced the lactic acid build up in the muscle. Lactic acid reduces proper signaling from the brain to the muscle. The most important aspect of muscle growth is a mind and muscle connection. Concentrating on the contraction of the muscle rather then concentrating on the pulling or the pushing of a weight.

Proper breathing techniques also provide better muscle recovery.

  • Deep breathing applications after your set would provide greater amount of oxygen into the body which in return would lower heart rate and blood pressure.

  • Brain receives enough oxygen to prepare its self for the upcoming set, and you also increase your energy level by increasing oxygen levels to the working muscle.
The benefits of proper breathing can offer great benefits for better muscle development and also reduces risk's of injuries.
