Jiu-Jitsu

Modern Jiu-Jitsu is a distillation of Japanese combat techniques, codified by the early Judo pioneers, and refined further by the Gracie family of Brazil and their legions of students around the world. Freestyle Jiu-Jitsu takes elements of the Brazilian style, as well as elements of Judo, Western wrestling, and Mixed Martial Arts and submission grappling and presents them in an open, inclusive, and pragmatic system. It's perfect for those who want to compete in combat sports or just improve their coordination and get a great whole-body workout. Because it emphasizes leverage and technique, it's also ideal for woman interested in realistic self-defense and personal protection skills.
